1/f Resistance Fluctuations

Abstract

The essential experimental properties of 1/f noise in solids are reviewed. The lack of universality and deviation from power law behavior suggested by recent experiments are emphasized. Theoretical questions relating to the equilibrium origin of 1/f resistance fluctuations, and to random walk models for excess low frequency noise are also discussed.
