Zusammenfassung
Querschnittlähmungen sind durch das Nebeneinander von motorischen Ausfallserscheinungen, Blasen-, Mastdarmstörungen und mehr oder weniger ausgepragten Sensibilitätsstörungen gekennzeichnet. Die elektrodiagnostischen Methoden sind bei der Diagnostik und Höhenlokalisation eines akuten Querschnittes bei einem bewußtseinsklaren und kooperativen Patienten immer nur als Hilfsuntersuchung anzusehen. Bei chronisch zunehmenden Querschnittsyndromen, bei nicht kooperativen Patienten und bei nicht vollstandigen Querschnitten kommt den elektrodiagnostischen Methoden als objektive Funktionspriifüng eine größere Bedeutung zu, da sie von der Mitarbeit des Patienten weitgehend unabhängig sind.
