Zusammenfassung
Das aus der mikroökonomischen Preistheorie abgeleitete Konzept der Industrie-Kostenkurve wird benutzt, um die Interdependenz zwischen Preis, Gewinn, Nachfrage, Kapazität und Kosten der Wettbewerber in einem Industriesegment modellmäßig zu beschreiben. Die Optimierung des Modells mit Hilfe der Linearen Programmierung sowie die Durchrechnung alternativer Wettbewerbsszenarien dienen dazu, strategische Entscheidungen bezüglich Preis-, Kapazitäts- und Kostengestaltung vorzubereiten.
Abstract
Based on micro-economic theory, the industry cost-curve approach provides an analytical framework that describes the link between price, profit, demand, capacity and cost of competitors in an industry segment. This model can be optimized by linear programming and allows the simulation of competitive scenarios in connection with strategic decisions on price, capacity or cost issues.
