Zusammenfassung

Aufgrund des Gesetzes zur Neuordnung des Arzneimittelrechtes wurde durch den Bundesminister für Jugend, Familie und Gesundheit eine Kommission „Alterskrankheiten und Schwächezustände“ berufen. Diese Kommission hat ein Projekt initiiert, in dem es um die Erfassung und kritische Bewertung von Methoden für die Gerontopharmakologie geht. Absicht dieses Vorhabens sollte es sein, der forschenden Pharmaindustrie Empfehlungen für die Durchführung von klinischen Prüfungen mit sog. Gerontopharmaka zu geben, und dem BGA sollte es Maßstäbe für die Bewertung solcher Studien liefern. Neben Leistungsmaßen, biochemischen und EEG-Methoden ging es um gerontopsychiatrische Skalen, von denen wir hier nur die Fremdratings behandeln. Bezogen auf das Thema nehmen wir noch eine weitere Beschränkung vor, indem wir aus dem Feld möglicher Gültigkeiten die Gerontopharmakologie besonders gewichten.
