Zusammenfassung
Durch Änderungen des PCO2 im arteriellen Blut kann die zere- brale Durchblutung (CBF) auf einfache Weise in kurzer Zeit mit groβer Effizienz beeinfluβt werden. Dieser Effekt wird in einer Reihe von neuroanästhesiologischen Situationen genutzt. Dabei kommt es zu Wechselwirkungen mit physiologischen und pathologischen Vorgängen, die im folgenden näher beschrieben werden.
