Zusammenfassung

Bösartige Tumoren im Kindesalter sind selten. Obwohl Kinder unter 15 Jahren 20% der Gesamtbevölkerung ausmachen, sind nur 1% aller Krebskranken Kinder. Die Zahl an jährlichen Neuerkrankungen beträgt 10–12 pro 100 000 Kinder unter 15 Jahren. Für die Bundesrepublik Deutschland ist mit 1500–1800 Neuerkrankungen pro Jahr zu rechnen9.
