Comparison of pH Values in CSF after Spinal Administration of Various Hyperbaric Opiates

Abstract

Spinal analgesia with opiates was first used for treatment of intractable pain [15]. At present this is still the main indication worldwide, followed by postoperative pain [2,5,6], and labor. All authors found some respiratory effects depending on the dosage and the level of the block.
