Die heutzutage vorhandenen, grundsätzlich unterschiedlichen Therapiemöglichkeiten wie alleinige Korrektur von Risikofaktoren, medikamentöse Therapie, perkutane transluminale Koronarangioplastie (PTCA) und Koronarchirurgie, verlangen eine differenzierte Betrachtungsweise des Patienten mit überstandenem Herzinfarkt (Postinfarktpatienten).
