Zusammenfassung

Die Polychondritis chronica atrophicans, im anglo-amerikanischen Sprachraum relapsing polychondritis genannt, stellt eine seltene Erkrankung dar, die in einem sehr hohen Prozentsatz bereits aufgrund typischer anamnestischer und klinischer Kriterien diagnostizierbar ist. Mc Adam [8] formulierte 1976 nach Auswertung von 159 Fällen die folgenden diagnostischen Kriterien:

  1. 1.

    rezidivierende Entzündung beider Ohrknorpel

  2. 2.

    Entzündung nasaler Knorpelanteile

  3. 3.

    nicht-erosive entzündliche Polyarthritis

  4. 4.

    Augensymptome

  5. 5.

    Entzündung der knorpeligen Anteile von Larynx, Trachea und Bronchialsystem und schließlich

  6. 6.

    Innenohrsymptome
