Zusammenfassung

Zahlreiche Untersuchungen haben nachgewiesen, daß die Prognose des Kolonkarzinoms vom Zeitpunkt der Erkennung dieser Erkrankung abhängig ist. Bei Patienten, bei denen sich der Tumor im Dukes-Stadium A befindet, beträgt die 5-Jahres-Überlebensrate 90–100% im Vergleich zu 50% im Dukes-Stadium B und 20% im Dukes-Stadium C [1]. Diese Zahlen lassen die Erwartung berechtigt erscheinen, daß Früherkennungsuntersuchungen die Mortalität und Morbidität dieses Tumors günstig beeinflussen.
