Zusammenfassung
Die Genese primärer, sporadischer und hereditärer Amyloidosen ist bis heute unklar. Aus diesem Grunde ist es naheliegend, die hereditären Amyloidosen, die mit einer Polyneuropathie einhergehen, nach klinischen Gesichtspunkten zu klassifizieren. Zalin et al. schlugen 1974 eine Einteilung vor, bei der sich vier verschiedene Haupttypen (Andrade 1952; Rukavina et al. 1956; van Allen et al. 1969; Meretoja 1969) voneinander abgrenzen lassen. Einschränkend muß jedoch hinzugefügt werden, daß im letzten Jahrzehnt Fälle mit neurogenen Störungen bei hereditärer Amyloidose beschrieben wurden, die sich nicht in alien Einzelheiten in das oben genannte Schema eingruppieren ließen.
