Abstract

Soft tissue sarcomas are difficult to manage, having a high incidence of recurrence and systemic spread following indiscriminate local resection. Recent trends in the management of soft tissue sarcomas reflect a better understanding of the biologic behavior of these neoplasms plus a more structured and aggressive surgical approach.
