On the Microwave Response of the Drosophila Melanogaster

  • Conference paper

Part of the Proceedings in Life Sciences book series (LIFE SCIENCES)

Abstract

Among the numerous investigations devoted to athermal biological effects induced by microwaves there are also a couple of experiments with the fruit fly (Drosophila melanogaster). The fruit fly represents a favoured and wellknown object of research in biology. This little fly is easily bred and the time of developing is rather short. Thus genetic effects can be studied over several generations within a couple of months.
