Zusammenfassung

Basis der nicht-invasiven Diagnostik von Herzrhythmusstörungen ist die Aufzeichnung eines Elektrokardiogramms, welches die bei jeder Herzaktion entstehenden Potentialschwankungen als Funktion der Zeit wiedergibt. Die ersten Anfang dieses Jahrhunderts von Willem Einthoven (1860–1927) entwickelten Registriersysteme zeichneten die elektrische Herztätigkeit unter Verwendung eines Saitengalvanometers auf. Die heute gebräuchlichen EKG-Geräte erfassen das mit Elektroden von der Körperoberfläche abgeleitete Signal über elektronisch arbeitende Verstärkersysteme und führen es nach Filterung einer Direkt-Registriereinrichtung zu.
