Abstract

Compilation and comparison of thromboprophylactic studies can be difficult for several reasons, e.g., different groups of patients, different criteria for inclusion and exclusion, differences between diagnostic principles, differences in follow-up time, etc. In the comparison between different studies using the same prophylactic method there are also differences in dosage, route of administration, duration of prophylaxis, etc.
