Follicular Keratinization

  • Conference paper
Stratum Corneum

Abstract

In this report some ultrastructural characteristics of follicular keratinization are reviewed. Findings in sebaceous follicles or microcomedones of clinically uninvolved skin from young adults with acne, using the electron microscope, are described.

Miss A. Ruhfus, MT A, and Mrs. E. Scheuer, MTA, provided technical assistance. Miss E. Januschke provided valuable support with the electron microscopy.

Supported by a grant from the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, PlSB/6
