Suppression of Lymphocytes by Cephalosporins
The cephalosporins are a rapidly proliferating group of antimicrobial agents. They are widely used because they are similar to the penicillins in their structure and mode of action, but have the added advantages of being relatively resistant to the beta-lactamases and of possessing bactericidal activity against a broad spectrum of pathogenic microorganisms, many of which are not susceptible to the penicillins (11).
