Factors Involved in the Regulation of the Survival and Differentiation of Neurons

  • Conference paper

Part of the book series: Dahlem Workshop Reports ((DAHLEM LIFE,volume 24))

Abstract

The role of nerve growth factor during the development of the peripheral nervous system is described and its biological properties compared with those of other neuronal survival and differentiation factors. A possible role for trophic factors in neuronal repair and regeneration is then discussed.
