Zusammenfassung

Das Atemnotsyndrom des Neugeborenen ist eine akute Erkrankung der Lungen während der ersten Lebenstage, die als Folge eines entwicklungsbedingten Surfactantmangels überwiegend bei Unreifgeborenen vorkommt. Synonyma sind: Respiratory distress syndrome (RDS); Syndrom der hyalinen Membranen; Hyaline membrane disease (HMD).
