Abstract
Culture of smooth muscle cells from blood vessels is widely used in studies devoted to the mechanisms of atherogenesis. In this aspect the primary cell culture is of special interest, as it is in this culture that the properties intrinsic to the cells in the vessels are preserved to the greatest extent.
