Book cover Controversies in Cardiac Rehabilitation

Abstract

Vocational rehabilitation in coronary patients constitutes a major concern for physicians and cardiologists. Although coronary surgery allows for a spectacular amelioration in the functional status of those patients, it does not seem to improve work resumption noticeably. The purpose of the present study was to analyze the working status of male patients during the 5 years following aortocoronary bypass surgery, and to determine factors related to postoperative return to work.
