Zusammenfassung

Das letzte Jahrzehnt hat ein explosives Wachstum unserer Kenntnisse über die biologischen Wirkungen der Prostaglandine (PG) gebracht. In Gynäkologie und Geburtshilfe, später auch in anderen Fachgebieten wie Pädiatrie, Radiologie und innere Medizin hat dies zur klinischen Anwendung der PG geführt. Während das Interesse für die Nutzbarmachung der verschiedensten PG-Wirkungen sehr groß ist, läßt sich andererseits kaum übersehen, daß die PG auch in der Lage sind, unerwünschte Nebenwirkungen hervorzurufen. Um bei einer therapeutischen Anwendung von solchen Nebenwirkungen nicht überrascht zu werden, ist es nützlich, die pharmakologischen Wirkungen der PG auf einige wichtige Organsysteme zu kennen. Im folgenden soll über Nebenwirkungen bei therapeutischer PG-Anwendung jeweils im Zusammenhang mit den möglichen Organreaktionen berichtet werden. Berücksichtigung fanden dabei nur die Primärprostaglandine E2 und F.
