Abstract

The regional setting of “Kupferschiefer” (“copper slate”)-type deposits is discussed, with special reference to the occurrences in Central Europe (specifically those of Lower Silesia, Poland). Localized processes of leaching, bleaching and copper accumulation are discussed.
