Abstract
As is evident from the current meetings of Laser and Optoelectronics in Medicine in Munich and the 4th International Society of Laser Surgery in Tokyo 1981 and the second meeting of the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery, there has been tremendous progress in Laser Medicine. Additional proof is the growth of societies of Laser Medicine over the world, including the new International Confederation of the Advisory Council in Laser Medicine, to work with WHO. Much to the delight of the laser industry, finally there is now a real laser biomedical instrumentation market.
