Abstract
Organic nitrate vasodilators, such as glyceryl trinitrate (GTN) or isosorbide dinitrate (ISDN), are denitrated by the glutathione (GSH) S-transferases (EC 2.5.1.18) according to the general scheme [3]: RONO2+GSH→RHO+HNO2+GSSG.
