Zusammenfassung
Die bakterielle Peritonitis, durch gramnegative Keime verursacht, ist durch Freisetzung von Endotoxinen eine Krankheit mit hohem Risiko. Der Krankheitsverlauf bei Peritonitis wird neben der zur peritonealen Keimkontamination führenden Krankheitsursache, vor allem von der Menge des in die Blutzirkulation gelangenden Endotoxins bestimmt. EndotoxinbeStimmungen erlangen daher für die Frühdiagnose und den Peritonitisverlauf und für die Gesamtprognose der Patienten eine besondere Bedeutung.
