Abstract
It is well known that the optic nerve can be compressed by meningiomas 1) in its whole course from the utmost periphery at the bulb, 2) in its retrobulbar portion, 3) within the dorsal cone of the orbit, 4) within the optic nerve channel and finally 5) intracranially between the chiasm and the optic nerve channel (see Table 1, Pt. 1–3).
