The term cave sediments embraces all clastic, organic, and chemical deposits occurring in subterranean cavities and cave entrances. They are the same three main groups as on the earth’s surface. The clastic deposits hardly differ from those on the surface. Organic and chemical sediments differ less chemically than morphographically from the corresponding ones on the surface.
