Abstract

During more than thirty years numerous compounds have been developed in the search for efficient antihypertensive drugs with qualitatively and quantitatively acceptable adverse reactions. The unwanted effects of hypotensive drugs constitute the main reason for the continuous development of new drugs and for changes in recommended therapy since many antihypertensives including the compounds dealt with here may generally be considered drugs of sufficient antihypertensive efficacy.
