Abstract
The pressure-volume relationship (PVR), since described in 1966 by LANGFITT, has become the best known feature in the literature concerning intracranial pressure (ICP). Much work has been done, many curves have been published, and authors try to explain all aspects of ICP in terms of PVR; however, in some instances, the shapes of the curves are different, and the physiopathological statements lack mathematical basis.
