Zusammenfassung
Der Nucleus amygdalae (Mandelkern) ist entwicklungsgeschichtlich Bestandteil des Archistriatum. Seine Zugehörigkeit zum limbischen System wurde erst durch die Arbeiten von MacLEAN (18,12) nachgewiesen. Es handelt sich um einen Kernkomplex innerhalb des Temporalpols, der bei den Säugern vor dem Unterhorn des Seitenventrikels gelegen Ist (Abb. 1).
