Evolution of 352 Adult Patients Treated with Androgens: Short and Long-term Results of a Prospective Study

Abstract

The short and long-term evolution of aplastic anemias and the choice of their treatment remain a matter of discussion. Since the techniques of homologous bone marrow transplants have made it possible to offer a new, but hazardous therapy to some patients, with low chances of survival, the need of accurate factors of prognosis, and a better knowledge of the short- and long-term prognosis of androgen-treated cases, are particularly necessary.
