Summary

Tumors of the eyelids which are not on the canthus can be treated by simple excision. If the inside or fornix of the lid is involved a radical treatment is usually necessary by free transplant. Demonstration of treatment and postoperative evalution of a basal cell carcinoma and congenital upper lid coloboma. The ptosis demands a careful preoperative motility analysis of the eyeball and of the lid. The patient’s age and function of the levator muscle determine the operative procedure. In cases of doubt an ophthalmologist should be asked for consultative advice.

Zusammenfassung

Tumoren im Bereich der Lider können, wenn diese lidkantenfern liegen, durch ovaläre Exzision entfernt werden. Es sollte grundsätzlich die Lidinnenseite inspiziert werden, bei deren Beteiligung radikal operiert werden muß, so daß meist freie Plastiken erforderlich werden. Demonstration eines postoperativen Verlaufes beim Basaliom und eines angeborenen Lidkoloboms beim Säugling. Bei der Ptosis ist präoperativ eine ausführliche Motili-tätsanalyse des Augapfels und der Lider nötig, das operative Vorgehen richtet sich nach dem Alter des Patienten und der Restfunktion des Lidhebers. In Zweifelsfragen sollte ein Ophthalmologe konsiliarisch hinzugezogen werden.
