Abstract
No concrete answer can be given in respect of water requirements of plants. The amount of water required by plants for their development depends on the most varying conditions. Among these are, first of all, the plant itself, according to its type and stage of development, the soil with its differing properties and, not least, the meteorological conditions in its location.
