Abstract
Fractures of the distal forearm occur at every age, but their frequency increases significantly between the 7th and 14th years of life (Reneé and Weller). This is the commonest type of forearm fracture, making up 75% of the total, compared to 18% in the middle third of the forearm and 7% in the proximal third (Blount).
