Abstract
It is well-known that the diagnosis of the first subarachnoid haemorrhage (SAH) is often quite difficult to establish. Within only a few hours the symptoms of minor bleeding may disappear completely and therefore they are not recognized as such. In many cases these symptoms are misinterpreted as being due to an acute cervical spine syndrome or migraine attack, or as resulting from intoxication.
