Abstract
Arteriography has become an important and necessary procedure for the investigation of intracranial, intrathoracic, and abdominal disorders in today’s modern medicine. The first experiments in arteriography were concerned with the differential diagnosis of bone neoplasms. The work of Dos Santos (1934), Caldas (1934), and Farinas (1937) provided the major impetus in the development of modern selective arteriography.
