Abstract
In view of the occasion which honors our friend and colleague, Professor Eric Wetterer, I will go back to the beginnings of the electromagnetic flow meter, i.e., to the middle 1930s when he and I were racing full steam ahead on a collision course toward the same goal, unaware of each other’s existence.
