Abstract

Diminished activity of uro-S has been recognized as the primary enzymatic defect in AIP (1, 5, 19). This defect was identified in liver, erythrocytes, and also in other cells. The determination of the enzyme in erythrocytes has proved effective for laboratory medical diagnostics (4–9, 11-18, 20, 21).
