Zusammenfassung

Unter den Tumoren dieser Gegend haben die Acusticusneurinome in zweierlei Hinsicht eine besondere Bedeutung:

  1. 1.

    Sie sind die häufigste Tumorart dieses Gebietes (65–70%) (Tabelle 18)

  2. 2.

    Der Ursprung des Tumors liegt im inneren Gehörgang, also in einem Gebiet, das zur Otologie gehört; sie wachsen von hier aus zum Kleinhirnbrückenwinkel, also in ein Gebiet der Neurochirurgie. Es ist daher nicht verwunderlich, daß an der Entwicklung der chirurgischen Techniken sowohl Otologen als auch Neurochirurgen besonders interessiert sind.
