Boron and Aluminum Dodecaboride as the Specific Type of Hopping Conduction Materials

  • Chapter
Boron and Refractory Borides

Abstract

It is known that hopping conductivity is one of the main physical features of many low mobility materials. Hopping conduction, in contrast to the more common zonic type, is the movement of the charge carriers (electron or hole) by a series of successive hops from one local level to another.
