Abstract
A detailed commentary on bronchography indications and technique is not within the scope of this book, nor does the author wish to suggest that bronchography via the bronchoscope is the method of choice. However, indications for bronchoscopy and bronchography frequently coexist in the individual patient. The need for selective bronchography may moreover arise during the conduct of a bronchoscopic examination supplemented by fiberoptic endoscopy, when negative findings dictate the use of contrast media to reach a definitive diagnosis or to guide the surgeon in his operative approach.
