Abstract

Considerable experimental work is required to ascertain representative quantitative relationships between ambient air pollutants and their effects on plants. This is a result not only of the necessity for monitoring the pollutant concentrations and the determination of various plant responses that relate to the useful value of the plant, but also of specific experimental requirements that take into account the susceptibility of the plant material.
