Abstract
In spite of the intensified employment of doctors in rescue service the greater part of ambulances will be manned for years to come mainly by paramedical staff and without a doctor. As a result of this there are already precise definitions about the breadth and nature of the necessary training of rescue personnel and the manning of rescue devices.
