Investigations on the Metabolism and Protein Binding of Nifedipine

Studies in man, dog, and rat showed that nifedipine is almost completely absorbed [2, 3]. Excretion is mainly renal. The urine contains only traces of the unchanged substance, which means that nifedipine is transformed in the body and eliminated in metabolized form.
