Einteilung und Vorstadien des Diabetes mellitus

Zusammenfassung

Eine Einteilung des Diabetes wird hauptsächlich nach drei Prinzipien vorgenommen: 1. Nach den ätiologischen Voraussetzungen der diabetischen Stoffwechselstörung (s. S. 695), 2. nach den klinischen Erscheinungsformen des manifesten Diabetes (s.S. 783) und 3. nach verschiedenen Entwicklungsstadien des genetischen Diabetes, die in diesem Kapitel besprochen werden sollen.
