Abstract
Oligo-Symptomatic Form of Ocular Myositis. From the early beginnings of EMG as a diagnostic tool it has been possible to show that weakness of extraocular muscles is often the result of a myositis. In the chronic forms, signs of inflammation may be minimal or absent, and pain on movement admitted only on direct questioning. EMG, therefore, is of great importance, since timely treatment with corticosteroids is then possible.
