Abstract

In general, morphologic evaluation of tissue and cells of the male accessory sex organs, especially of human biopsy specimens, is based on a qualitative description obtained at the light- and/or electron-microscopic level. This descriptive morphology is of primary and undisputed importance, e.g., for diagnosis in pathology. A considerable amount of biochemical data is now available; the morphological information about the ultrastructural changes of the male accessory sex organs has been restricted to descriptive findings.
