Zusammenfassung

VAN DER WIJK et al. legen den fünften Band des “Index Muscorum” vor. Dieses monumentale Werk, wohl eines der wichtigsten in der Moosliteratur der Nachkriegszeit, ist damit vollständig. SCHUSTER (9) veröffentlicht den zweiten Band der „Hepaticae and Anthocerotae of North America”, der die Lepidoziaceae, Calypogeiaceae, Lophoziaceae und Jungermanniaceae enthält. Besonders hervorzuheben sind die hervorragenden Abbildungen, die in ihrer zeichnerischen Qualität wohl kaum zu überbieten sind. Sie können als Muster für jeden dienen, der sich mit der Darstellung botanischer Objekte beschäftigt. Wie sehr die Lebermoossystematik immer noch im Fluß ist, zeigt der dritte Teil des ”Manual of the Leafy Hepaticae of Latin America” von FULFORD. Neben den erst 1967 begründeten Familien Trabacellulaceae und Cladomastigaceae werden vier weitere neue Familien in die Wissenschaft eingeführt: Regredicaulaceae, Hyalolepidoziaceae, Alobiellaceae und Paracromastigaceae. Dies zeigt, daß die Erforschung der Moose besonders der tropischen Gebiete bei weitem noch nicht abgeschlossen ist. Sehr erfreulich ist auch das Erscheinen einer Laubmoosflora von Zentralsibirien (BARDUNOV). Hier trifft der abgedroschene Ausdruck „das Buch schließt eine Lücke“ buchstäblich zu. Besondere Hervorhebung verdient auch das erste Heft einer Laubmoosflora von Indien (GANGULEE).
