Abstract
Motility is a general property of protoplasm. Intracellular cytoplasmic streaming is found in all Protozoa. It is usually readily recognizable by microscopy or in micro-cinematographic films taken at normal speed; but occasionally it can only be detected by time-lapse cinematography. The streaming cytoplasm often follows definite pathways. Its motion can also be correlated in specific ways with certain phases of reproduction.
